تِد یک مجموعه همایش جهانی است که توسط بنیاد خصوصی Sapling، با شعار “ایدهها ارزش گسترش دارند”، برگزار میشود. تمرکز اولیه تِد روی تکنولوژی و طراحی با ریشههای “Silicon Valley” بود، اما از آن پس تمرکزش وسیعتر شد و شامل سخنرانیهای زیادی با موضوعات علمی، فرهنگی و دانشگاهی شد.
